The 4th of July was a busy day this year! As always (for many years now) we started the day off with breakfast with our ward. The kid love running around with all the other kids from church and I love being able to take picture of them having fun!
Hey!! Look at that! They’re holding hands AND they’re smiling!
Shortly after the breakfast we decided to take a drive and figure out where we wanted to watch fireworks that evening. There was a show being lit off from behind a baseball stadium so we chose to hang out at the softball fields next door that had a small water park. We wanted to get there early enough to get a good spot in the grass (as well as a close parking spot) so we showed up around 3:30 in the afternoon. We learned that it was plenty early but the kids had a great time playing all day.
Who doesn’t love a new box of crayons! See how they are nicely organized by color? That’s a must with a new box of crayons! They make me happy
Until this happened. It’s all fun and games until someone get’s a bloody nose.
When the moon started rising all we could see was this orange glow. Some thought it was a fire then in a few minutes we realized it was the moon coming up. It was pretty cool!
Carter did not like the fireworks. He thought they were way to loud, which is my favorite part!! We have not been to a big firework show for quite a few years and I really missed it. I was kind of giddy with excitement when they started going off! I did manage to get a few pictures while holding Carter, while he was holding his blanket over his face and ears.
