Blog Hop!!

Hello and welcome to our blog hop!!
You should have come from Heather's Blog.  If you didn’t then you’ll want to start at the beginning at Amanda’s blog so you can follow along.
Each of signed up to create a layout with a certain number of photos. My assignment was to use 3 photos in a layout.  It’s not very hard for me to use a few photos since I have 5 kids.  I have LOTS of photos to use.
The papers and embellishment stickers were all from Basic Grey.
To help my alphas and the cog sticker stand out a little more against that busy background paper I used a dark brown pen and outlined them all.  I wish I had take an before and after picture of the outlining.  It really does make a difference!

And because I've been able to get a little scrapping done, I have a second layout to share.  I used Echo Park’s “Note To Self” paper for this LO.  I inked around just about everything with Tim Holtz distress ink, I felt it was fitting for a dirt layout. Smile  The yellow twine is from The Twinery and the brads are from Recollections and SEI

Thanks for stopping by!!  Your next hop is Colleen's Blog.  I’m sure she has a fabulous layout to share!!  Also, scroll down on her blog and take a peek at her Lake Superior layout!  Very cool with the stitched rays!

Want to win a prize??  Who doesn’t!!?  Just leave me a comment and tell me how many photos you like to use on your layouts, is there a magic number??   But wait!!  I also want you to visit all the blogs in our hop and tell me something fabulous about one of the other layouts you saw.  I’ll draw a winner on Monday!
Here is what you could win!  Who loves Echo Park??  Me me me!!  How about an entire pack of Note To Self?!!!

Love the signs border & ticket banner!

Great layout! Love this collection! Ideally I like to get at least four pictures on the page when I'm scrapbooking an event, but sometimes if I'm scrapping a moment/memory, 1-2 is enough.

Awesome, Becky! I have that same BG collection and have been so afraid to use that PP because of the busyness! I never think to outline...I ink everything but I never think outlining will make enough difference.
Very cute dirt layout! Love the ticket banner and all the little details on this page. Nice work!

OK, I have completed the hop. One of my favorites was Colleen's 3 photo layout. It's funny because she's not very happy with it but I found it to be very stunning in color, design and detail.
As for how many photos I like to use...lately it seems I am more comfortable with 2-4 on a single page. But I used to prefer doing 5-7 on a 2 pager!

Great layouts! I like using 2-5 photos on a layout too...I take tons and its so hard to decide!

Love your layouts! I really like how you layered everything! I usually like to use about 3-5 photos a page.

Love your layouts, Becky! I like the "to do" list you used on the one. I tend to use 2-3 photos on a layout. Not necessarily a preference, but a habit...So far my favorite is Heather's Fall Sketch layout!

Great LOs! I love both the BG and EP papers you used. I prefer to use 3 pictures (1-page layout) or 5-6 pictures (2-page layout).

I finished the blog hop and love Steffanie's adorable layout with her hiking pictures. That owl is just too cute!

Hey :) I love your LOs! Esp. the outlining of the letters. I don't have a favorite number of photos to work with. I am all over the place. I also loved Devra's LO. She tilted everything and it looks great!

That Basic Grey is AWESOME! You used it very well too and agree with your outlining. I love how all the photos are of them leaving. You get the sense of the beginnings of the journey. I love the dirt lo too. Love, love, love Note To Self. Grunging it up was a good call.

clever use of the 'note to self'. I LOVE how you used the PP in the first LO. A hard one to use but it looks great!

Love the two ways you used three photos. I often use three the way you did in the first LO but not in the second - I'll have to give it a try!

I actually like to use a variety of numbers of photos and my layouts usually reflect that. I often do 2 photos on a single page or five or six on a 2-page spread.

I'm not quite done the hop but so far, I've loved reading about why people like to use that number of photos on a page.

Great layout. I don't really have a favorite number of photos to use on a page. My least favorite is one.

I really liked the colors of Heather's layout (My Crafty Heart).
