My Birthday

Friday was my birthday and it was a good day. I usually put too much thought into how my birthday "should" go and then I'm disappointed that it didn't go like I thought. One might think I'd quit setting such high expectations for myself. Well, this year it was good. I figured it might be good because a week before Alex took the kids shopping. There was some thought and planning involved. Friday for lunch my mother in law took me to lunch. Anytime I'm able to go to lunch without my kids is a nice treat. After Harley got home from school they had me open my presents. To my surprise I received a new laptop!!! Oh happy day!! In fact, I'm posting right from my new birthday present! Sweet! I'm lucky to have Alex to set up everything for me or I would be lost. Cierra picked out a cute stripe case for my laptop (which includes a pink stripe). They also got me a photo album for the baby and a very nice gift card to a local scrapbook store. How could it get any better? Well...I didn't actually get to go out to dinner for my birthday but that was kind of my own fault. A huge group of ladies were planning on seeing Twilight on Friday night and I couldn't pass that up, so I went. I don't think I've ever been to the movie with a large group like that before. It was fun! So, I had a great day, probably one of the best birthday's I've had in a long time!
